1. A Smyrna special needs puppy is one of 11 special needs rescue puppies who will be featured in this year's Puppy Bowl XIX. The event features rescue puppies playing football on Super Bowl Sunday. Mykonos is a puppy that was surrendered by her breeder to Bosley's Place in Smyrna when it was discovered she had a cleft palate. (People)
2. A new classical Catholic high school is opening down the road in Kennesaw with its first freshman class scheduled to begin in August 2023. The Chesterton Academy of Atlanta will be the first Chesterton Academy in Georgia while there are over 40 in the country. 3. A fast response by Atlanta firefighters to a call on Tuesday saved one of the oldest buildings in nearby Atlanta from being destroyed by fire. Firefighters were called in for a fire in the attic of the 1840 Joseph Willis House and responded within five minutes.
