Man Points Gun At Smyrna Couple In Road Rage Incident
Man points gun at couple during exchange Saturday on White Haven Lane in Smyrna. Police are searching for the suspect.
SMYRNA, GA - Police are looking for a motorist who pointed a gun at a couple during an exchange that was sparked when their vehicles came within feet of each other, Patch has learned. The incident happened Saturday on White Haven Lane in Smyrna as a couple were backing down a driveway while another car was obstructing them.
Elizabeth Ewing and her boyfriend were in the vehicle and waiting for the car to move, but it didn't. That's when her boyfriend got out of the vehicle. Ewing said that her boyfriend only got out to help direct traffic around him, but the driver in the car didn't see it that way: He pulled a gun and pointed it at the man.
"It's a crazy incident. I'm still shaken up about it," Ewing told WAGA-TV. "He has no reason to try to shoot someone." The two parties exchanged words before the man finally pulled off. Ewing was able to take a picture of the motorist, which she has shared with authorities.
