First Presbyterian Church of Atlanta is now accepting applications for the 2026 cohort of its Epiphany program, a faith-based social entrepreneurship incubator supporting startups tackling today’s most pressing challenges. Epiphany is an evergreen initiative that equips entrepreneurs developing innovative solutions to social issues with funding, mentorship, and strategic guidance. If you are an emerging founder with a vision to address societal challenges often overlooked by traditional markets, Epiphany offers the resources needed to help your venture grow. Examples of qualifying ventures include businesses that employ formerly incarcerated individuals or adults with developmental challenges, as well as enterprises offering services such as coding training for refugees or mechanical skills development in low-income communities. SMYRNA, GA — One man was found stabbed in his Smyrna apartment over the weekend, and Cobb County police are investigating the incident as a homicide.Around 11:52 p.m. Saturday, Cobb County Police Department officers responded to a call of a person stabbed at an apartment complex on Old Concord Road in Smyrna. They found 28-year-old Oscar Hernandez inside the apartment with multiple injuries, according to Cobb police spokesperson Sgt. Wayne Delk. "Lifesaving measures were unsuccessful and Mr. Hernandez died at the scene," Delk said. The investigation is still ongoing. Anyone with information is asked to contact Cobb County Police Crimes Against Persons Unit detectives at 770-499-4111 or cobbpolicecrimetips@cobbcounty.org.
