  1. A 75-year-old man from nearby Marietta has been doing his daily exercise of running the distance equivalent to a 10k every day for more than 1,000 days in a row. Larry Guzy started running outside every day when his gym closed during the pandemic in March 2020. Guzy said, "There wasn't anything else to do." (Subscription: The Atlanta Journal-Constitution)
  2. Some residents of nearby Sandy Springs expressed concerns a new mixed-use development project isn't taking affordable housing into consideration. The development at the North River Shopping Center in Sandy Springs is currently planned for 81 townhomes, 242 apartment units, and commercial businesses. The representing attorney for the development company, Stream Realty, Jessica Hill said, "There’s not an affordable requirement with it. There’s a requirement that there be these 81 townhomes and that’s the priority." (Subscription: The Atlanta Journal-Constitution)
  3. A critical computer system outage grounded all domestic flights at the Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport in nearby Atlanta on Wednesday morning around 8:00 a.m. The outage was due to a system used by the Federal Aviation Administration and resulted in nationwide delays as all flights were grounded while the organization worked to restore service. Flights resumed about an hour after the outage was announced. (11Alive.com WXIA)
