  1. The City of Smyrna's annual Daddy-Daughter Dance is rapidly approaching, and spots are almost full! The Parks & Recreation Department will host the dance at the Smyrna Community center this Friday, Feb. 10, from 6-9 p.m. The 50s-themed dance party is priced at $60 per couple.   2. The Cobb County Courier published the health inspection scores of local area restaurants from Friday, Jan. 27 to Thursday, Feb. 2. While Smyrna favorites scored well (Good Kitchen even scored 100), other local restaurants on the list didn't fare as well. Those interested can check out the list at the link. (Cobb County Courier)
  3. This a reminder for Smyrna residents that if you hear an alarm this Wednesday, Feb. 8, don't panic! The Smyrna Fire Department will be testing Smyrna's severe weather siren, used to indicate to residents that a severe storm is approaching.   • Join the City of Smyrna for a Black History Month celebratory dinner with Erica Armstrong Dunbar, author of "She Came to Slay: The Life and Times of Harriet Tubman." The Black History Month dinner will be on Friday, Feb. 24 at 5:30 p.m. at the Smyrna Community Center, 200 Village Green Circle, in downtown Smyrna. You can purchase tickets here.
