- Georgia's average gas price has fallen by seven cents per gallon since last week. The state's average price is now $3.04 per gallon. Despite the statewide decrease, Cobb County's average price is still six cents above the state average. The national gas price has been trending down due to falling oil prices. (Cobb County Courier)
- The Smyrna Public Library will be hosting Snowman Saturday on Saturday, Dec. 10, at 2:00 p.m. The library will screen the movies "The Snowman" and "The Snowman and the Snowdog." There will be a craft intermission between films. Participants are encouraged to wear Christmas pajamas and bring a cozy blanket. Participants must register for the event at this link. - Smyrna's Economic Development Department will be hosting a workshop on starting a business in Smyrna. The workshop will be on Jan. 27 at 11:00 a.m. at the Smyrna Public Library.
