Woman Charged With Concealing Death Of A Toddler: Cobb Police
A Stone Mountain woman was arrested and charged in connection with the discovery of a toddler's body in the Chattahoochee River on Thursday.

COBB COUNTY, GA — Cobb County police arrested and charged a Stone Mountain woman in connection with the discovery of a toddler's body in the Chattahoochee River Thursday morning.
Around 10:30 a.m. Thursday, Cobb County Fire Department personnel were starting training and filming a water safety video at the river when they discovered the remains of a toddler floating in the water, said Sgt. Wayne Delk, public information officer for Cobb County Police Department.
Authorities found the body at 3444 Cobb Parkway near the Paces Mill unit of the Chattahoochee River National Recreation Area. Police estimate the child was between 1 and 3 years old.

Cobb police arrested 27-year-old Breyania Cooper of Stone Mountain on Friday and charged her with concealing the death of another person, in relation to the toddler found Thursday, Delk said. He said as of now, the relationship between Cooper and the toddler has not been confirmed.
Cooper was booked into the Cobb County Adult Detention Center, where she remains without bond.

CCPD's Crimes Against Persons unit has taken over the full investigation, and the Cobb County Medical Examiner took the child's body.
