Warrant: Shooting Threat Made Against High School

A Cobb County teen has been arrested after allegedly posting a threat on social media against Osborne High School.

A Cobb County teenager was arrested and booked on terroristic threats and acts charges after he allegedly posted a Facebook message which implied he was going to carry out a school shooting.

Jaion De’ayre Nash, 18, posted a picture on social media of himself holding a gun with the caption “I wouldn’t go to the O today” on Nov. 13, a warrant states. “The O” is a slang term for Osborne High School in Marietta. The warrant does not say whether Nash attends Osborne.

Students and parents who saw the threat on social media notified school administrators, the warrant states.

Cobb County jail records indicate Nash was arrested on the morning of Nov. 13 and charged with making terroristic threats and disruption of public schools. He is being held on a $25,000 bond.
