5 Injured In 2 Shootings At Same Snellville Park

Four juveniles and a man were injured in two shootings at a Snellville park, police say.

SNELLVILLE, GA — Two separate shootings less than a day apart have injured five people at a Snellville park, police said.

The first shooting happened around 9 p.m. Saturday at Briscoe Park, located at Sawyer Parkway Southwest, Snellville Police said.

Four juveniles, ranging in age from 14-17, were taken to local hospitals for treatment, police said.

Details were limited, and police did not identify a suspect or say what led to the shooting,

Then, several hours later, officers responded to a second shooting around 2:30 p.m. Sunday at Briscoe Park. Police said a man suffered a gunshot wound and was taken to a hospital for treatment.

The shooting was the result of a domestic dispute between two men, including the person shot, police said.

Officers were able to identify the suspect in the second shooting, but police have not publicly named the suspect, who they said fled in a car from the scene.

Police have not indicated the two shootings were related.
