3 Dead, Including Gunman, In Snellville Double Murder-Suicide

Police believe the woman who survived the Country Walk shooting was in a relationship with the accused shooter.

SNELLVILLE, GA — A 27-year-old Loganville man is accused of shooting and killing a husband and wife before fatally turning the gun on himself, Gwinnett County Police said.

The shooting happened around 1 a.m. in the 2300 block of Country Walk. Police said officers were responding to a domestic disturbance when they found two men dead and two women suffering from gunshot wounds.

Police said paramedics took the women to the hospital; however, one of them died at the hospital due to her injuries. Police believe the woman who survived the shooting was in a relationship with the accused shooter.

Those who died have been identified by police as Corey Jones, 52, of Snellville, and his wife, Dana Farmer, 56, of Snellville. The couple lived at the home where the shooting took place, police said.

Police identified the accused gunman as Frank Wilburn Jr., who also died in the shooting.

The woman who survived the shooting was a 29-year-old Loganville woman, police said. She and Wilburn were set to go to court Tuesday for a hearing, police said.

Two other people in the apartment at the time of the shooting, a 46-year-old woman and a 2-month-old girl, were not harmed, police said.

The fatal shooting, which was isolated and domestic-related, is being probed as a double murder-suicide, police said.
