3 Dogs Dead, Person Injured In Snellville House Fire
A blaze at a Snellville home that critically injured an adult and a cat killed three dogs, Gwinnett County fire officials said.

SNELLVILLE, GA — A blaze critically injured an adult and killed three dogs Tuesday night in the 4200 block of Round Stone Trail Southwest, Gwinnett County fire officials said Wednesday.
Crews responded around 7:30 p.m. to the house fire in unincorporated Snellville, according to the Gwinnett County Fire and Emergency Services.
Neighbors informed emergency dispatchers of the fire, saying someone was trapped inside the house, fire officials said.

When firefighters arrived, they found heavy fire coming from the back of the single-family home. Fire officials said crews began to attack the flames and search for victims.

Firefighters tried to enter a second-floor window, but the house's roof collapsed, and they were forced to stop their attempts for reassessment, fire officials said.

Crews gained control of the fire, and a search-and-rescue took place, fire officials said. An adult was found critically injured inside the home, and the person was taken to Piedmont Eastside Medical Center, fire officials said.
Three dogs were found dead, and a cat suffered smoke inhalation, fire officials said. The cat received supplemental oxygen and was taken to a veterinary hospital, fire officials said.
The cause of the fire was undetermined.
