Are Snellville, Gwinnett County Offices Closed for Martin Luther King Jr. Day?

Some county and city services, such as trash and recycling, will be closed Monday, Jan. 20, due to the holiday.

Some county and city services will be closed Martin Luther King Jr. Day. 

All Gwinnett County government offices, with the exception of those operations required for the comfort and safety of residents, will be closed Monday (Jan. 20), according to a news release. County offices will resume normal business hours Tuesday (Jan. 21). 

A Magistrate Court judge will be available at the Gwinnett County Detention Center during the holiday.

The Gwinnett County Solid Waste and Recycling Call Center will be closed Monday, but hauler call centers will be open, and trash and recycling for solid waste will operate as usual. 

Trash and recycling pick-up for the city of Snellville also will operate as usual. The city's recycling center and all city offices will be closed Monday, though.
