Avoid These Snellville Streets Monday for MLK Day

The Martin Luther King Jr. Day March will take place from New Jerusalem Baptist Church to Snellville United Methodist Church.

Snellville Police are asking for commuters to avoid certain streets Monday (Jan. 15) due to the Martin Luther King Jr. Day March from New Jerusalem Baptist Church to Snellville United Methodist Church. 

According to a Nixle alert, around 11 a.m. for a short period of time, the following streets will be limited: 

  • Portions of North Road between Pinehurst Road and Oak Road will be blocked
  • Traffic on Oak Road between Scenic Highway and Highway 78 will be blocked
  • Police also advise to avoid Dogwood Road and Wisteria Drive
The stalls only will occur while march participants are on the roadway, though. It is recommended that drivers remain on Scenic Highway and Highway 78.
