Gwinnett Team To Honor Officer's Memory, Wearing His Badge Number

A Gwinnett high school football team will honor the memory of Officer Antwan Toney, who gave his life in the line of duty.

SNELLVILLE, GA – In honor of fallen Gwinnett County police officer Antwan Toney, the South Gwinnett High School football team will proudly wear an ADT1808 helmet sticker for the remainder of the season. The sticker represents his initials and his badge number.

"This Friday's memorial is not about the moment his life was taken, it is about remembering Officer Toney's passion and love for protecting our community," said Terrence Stover, associate head varsity football coach and defensive line coach. "Friday, we will wear our home Blue's to show our support of that Blue Line!"

"In memory of his dedication and service to our community, the football team will celebrate his life and what he gave back to our area," he said. "Officer Toney was taken from us as he protected a Gwinnett County Public School almost two weeks ago, doing a job he loved.
