Man Arrested on Peeping Tom Charge... 3 Months Later
A woman told Gwinnett Police in May that a man had used his cell phone to take photos under her skirt while at a Publix on Centerville Highway.

A man was arrested last week in connection to a peeping tom incident that took place in early May.Β
According to the Gwinnett County Police report, a 32-year-old woman reported the incident on May 6 at the Publix grocery story on Centerville Highway in unincorporated Snellville.
She told the officer that she had been shopping in the store when she was approached by a man, who wanted her to move so that he could pass her in an aisle. She complied, but noticed that he had stopped behind her. Glancing over her shoulder, she saw that he was using his cell phone to a photo under her skirt.Β
She immediately left the aisle and told the front that the police be called. She was able to provide authorities with what he looked like, a partial tag number and descriptionΒ of his car,Β and also a photo she took of him using her own cell phone.
With this evidence, authorities were able to narrow down the possible suspects to one man, Nicholas McGhie, a 23-year-old fromΒ Snellville. In late June, the victim completed a photo line-up and said she was "100 percent confident"Β McGhie was the offender. Β
On July 12, investigators interviewed the suspect, who initially denied intentionally taking a photograph of her. He eventually admitted that he may have "accidentally" taken a photo. There was no picture of her on his phone.Β
The investigator charged him with one count of a peeping tom charge, and he was arrested July 30.Β
