Perseid Meteor Shower: Weather Conditions in Metro-Atlanta
If you stay up late enough, you should get a clear view of the meteors.

It's overcast and humid out now, but by the time the Perseid Meteor Shower really gets going, metro-Atlanta residents should have a clear view and milder weather.
According to The Weather Channel, it will be partly cloudy in Snellville until midnight. Â After that, it will be mostly clear until the morning. The temperature will be in the high 60s. Â
That's great timing, since the light show will peak around 2 a.m. Sunday morning. Â

The Atlanta Astronomy Club will be headed to Brasstown Bald for the night, in Blairsville, Ga. Â The conditions there will be even better; completely clear, high 50s/low 60s. Â
Another viewing event will be held at Cloudland Canyon. Â Again, clear, high 50s/low 60s. Â
