2 Cobb Chick-Fil-A Eateries Offering Free Ice Cream For St. Paddy's Day

AUSTELL, GA -- Two Chick-fil-A restaurants in Cobb County are giving away free ice cream Friday in honor of St. Patrick's Day.

Chick-fil-A's West Cobb location and its West Marietta Crossing eatery both said that they are offering Free Kids Green Ice Cream in a cone or cup with any entree purchase.

The deal was posted on the West Cobb location's Facebook page and its website.

Turns out, headquarters will honor the deal, but the eateries won't be able to turn their iconic ice cream green to commemorate the day.

“They’re not supposed to change the ingredients on the menu,” Chick-fil-A spokeswoman Bekki Poelker told the Atlanta Journal-Constitution. “The restaurant didn’t quite realize that.”

So, yes, the freebie is still on, it'll just be classic vanilla rather than green.
