Son Facing Murder Charges In Killing Of Mom, Stepdad: Police
Police accused a man of shooting to death his mother and stepfather in a domestic incident at a Cobb County home.
POWDER SPRINGS, GA — A 31-year-old is facing murder charges in connection with the shooting deaths of his mother and stepfather Saturday in the 3200 block of Yoshino Terrace, Powder Springs Police said Sunday.
Police say they arrested Martin Duberry after his mother, 72-year-old Monica Brookins, and his stepfather, 73-year-old John Wells, were found suffering from gunshot wounds around 12:30 p.m. at a Yoshino home. The couple later died while at a local hospital, police said.
Duberry was arrested on charges of two counts of murder, eight counts of aggravated battery and possession of firearm during commission of a crime, police said. Cobb County Jail records showed he remained incarcerated Tuesday.

Police have not revealed a motive in the deadly domestic incident.
