Classes Teaches How to Prepare Foods that Reduce Cancer Chances

Staff from University of Georgia Cobb Extension will offer "Cooking for a Lifetime of Women's Wellness" 9:30 a.m.-1:30 p.m., Tuesday, Sept. 25, at the Extension office, 678 South Cobb Drive, Marietta.

The cooking school will teach how to choose and prepare food to reduce the risk of developing breast or cervical cancer. The session will also feature healthy recipes that participants can taste and a notebook with recipes and handouts to take home.

All women are encouraged to attend, especially women ages 40-64, women with no health insurance and women who rarely receive health screenings. Women ages 40-64 with no health insurance may be eligible for no cost or low cost cancer screenings. Pre-registration is required. For registration information, call Cobb Extension at 770-528-4090.
