Austell Removes Decades-old Clock
The new digital, LED display sign is set to be installed in mid-June.
The clock at city hall stuck at 2:26 for decades is no more. The clock was removed last week and will be replaced by a new 88-foot by 88-foot LED display sign, which costs $19,861.
Austell Community Affairs Director Jim Graham said the new sign will be "a lot nicer, a higher up message board."
The city recently also began removing its past marquee board, which also sat outside City Hall.
