Job Alert: Warehouse & Janitorial Positions

The Georgia Department of Labor is helping Preferred Personnel Solutions fill a number of job openings for warehouse and janitorial workers in Cobb County.    

The recruitment event takes place Tuesday, May 1, from 10 a.m. to noon at the GDOL’s Cobb-Cherokee Career Center at 465 Big Shanty Road in Marietta.

Applicants must be at least 17 years old and have at least six months of warehousing or janitorial experience.

Workers must be able to handle packing and production in a fast-paced environment, and they must be able to stand for eight hours and be capable of lifting up to 30 pounds of weight.

The jobs will last for one year. Work schedules are 6:30 a.m. to 3 p.m., and 2:30 p.m. to 11 p.m., Monday through Friday, and 10:30 p.m. to 7 a.m. Sunday through Thursday. The pay rate is $7.50 an hour. The employer will conduct a background check on selected applicants.
