Mableton Crash Kills Austell Woman
The 76-year-old woman was crossing the road when she was hit by a car, police said.
MABLETON — A 76-year-old Austell woman was killed Wednesday after being hit by a car while walking across South Gordon Road, Cobb County Police said Thursday.
Police said the fatal crash happened around 6:45 p.m. east of Factory Shoals Road.
A blue 2021 Honda Civic, driven by a 27-year-old Austell woman, was heading west on South Gordon toward Factory Shoals. Police said a woman, who they identified as Rosa Moore, went into the path of the Honda and was hit by the car.

The Honda driver controllably stopped in the driveway of a nearby gas station. Police said the Cobb County Medical Examiner's Office pronounced Moore dead at the scene.
