Police Probe Robbery at Austell Pizza Place

Hold-up is second incident in as many months that occurred at a pizza eatery in South Cobb.

AUSTELL, GA -- Police are looking for a robbery suspect who held up a Pizza Hut in Austell on Wednesday night.

The suspect walked into the Pizza Hut in the 3660 block of Austell Road, pulled a gun on two employees and demanded money, Cobb police spokesman Sgt. Dana Pierce said in a news release obtained by Patch.

After taking an undisclosed amount of cash, the man fled on foot. Workers were not able to tell law enforcement which direction the suspect went.

He is described as man about 6 feet all with a "skinny build." He was wearing blue jeans, a dark jacket, with a hooded sweatshirt underneath and a black bandanna.

It is the second time in recent months that a pizza place has been held up. As Patch previously reported, the Dominos Pizza in Mableton was robbed n November.
