SWAT Standoff, Domestic Dispute Ends In Man's Arrest: Cobb Police
Cobb County police arrested a man after a SWAT team standoff for hours and an initial call in regard to a "domestic dispute."
AUSTELL, GA — Cobb County police arrested a man Monday morning after a SWAT team standoff for several hours outside a residence on Pine Bluff Court in Austell.
Officers were initially called to the home Sunday evening in regard to a "domestic dispute," Cobb County Police Department spokesperson Shenise Barner said. A man barricaded himself inside the home, but was escorted out in handcuffs around 7:30 a.m. Monday.
No injuries were reported from the incident.

"Our officers were dispatched to a residence on Pine Bluff Court referencing a domestic dispute. Through an initial investigation, responding officers identified the primary aggressor in the dispute; however, he was non-compliant," Barner said in an email. "Our SWAT team was then activated, and the suspect was later taken into custody with no further incident."
The man's name and possible charges were not released as of Monday afternoon.
