More than a month ago, a 14-year-old girl was allegedly raped in the boys bathroom at Lindley Middle School.
Now Cobb police are trying to locate the Austell teen suspected of sodomizing the girl. A warrant has been issued for the arrest of Travion Malick Hubbard on charges that include two counts of aggravated child molestation and one count of aggravated sodomy.
Between 12:30 p.m. and 1 p.m. May 1, Hubbard allegedly forced the girl "into the male bathroom at Lindley Middle School, did forcibly remove her pants and undergarments," and sodomized her, according to the warrant, which lists Hubbard as between the ages of 14 and 18.

Sgt. Mike Rolfe with the Cobb County School District Department of Public Safety told the Marietta Daily Journal that "his agency learned about the incident several hours after it happened and immediately reported it to Cobb police."
However, a warrant was not issued for Hubbard's arrest until May 31.

"The gap in the time frame is simple," Officer Mike Bowman, the spokesman for the Cobb County Police Department, told Patch this afternoon. "When you are investigating an active case and have numerous interviews to conduct and schedules to accommodate, it takes time. The fact that the warrant was taken only 30 days after the report of the incident was made is not long."
Parents were not notified of the alleged incident.
"Schools do not typically send home letters or alerts about allegations between two students," said Jay Dillon, the spokesman for the Cobb County School District.
The school system has not implemented any additional safety measures since the alleged rape.
"We believe this is an isolated incident," Dillon said. "The suspect has been identified and is being pursued by police. A warrant is out for his arrest."
Though Hubbard's parents have cooperated with investigators, their son is nowhere to be found.
"We are not commenting or speculating any information as to the whereabouts of the suspect," Bowman said. "We will mention that as of yesterday, he was still not in custody."
