Town Hall on New Flex Bus
A pilot bus service called Flex Route will soon be available to South Cobb residents.

South Cobb residents are invited to attend a public meeting Thursday to learn more about a new bus service called Flex Route.
The meeting, held by Cobb County officials, is scheduled for 6:30-8:30 p.m., Thursday, June 27 at Ron Anderson Recreation Center, 3820 Macedonia Road, Powder Springs.
The Flex Route pilot bus service provided by Cobb Community Transit is expected to start this fall, and will be available to riders in District 4. The proposed route, funded by federal and local grants, will provide stops between Austell and Cumberland Mall.

This shared ride, public transportation service is designed to help serve the unmet mobility needs of the community by combining the benefits of traditional fixed routes and demand response services.
The route also has the flexibility to stop at places other than the regular bus stops when a passenger has made a reservation in advance. Requests for deviated service may be made on the preceding business day that service is requested. However, additional notice is recommended. Reservations may be made between the designated hours Monday through Friday.

- 6-8 p.m., Tuesday, June 18: South Cobb Public Library, 805 Clay Road, Mableton.
- 10 a.m. to 12 p.m., Saturday, July 20: Mable House Arts Center, 5239 Floyd Road, Mableton.
