Woman Found Dead After Austell Vehicle Fire
Foul play is suspected in the death of a 22-year-old woman whose vehicle was found in flames at Joe Jerkins Blvd. and Landers St.
AUSTELL, GA — A 22-year-old woman was found dead after a vehicle fire Wednesday afternoon near Joe Jerkins Boulevard and Landers Street, Cobb County Police said Thursday.
A vehicle was found fully in flames around 12:15 p.m. in the area, triggering the response of first responders. The fire was extinguished, and the vehicle was towed to a wrecker yard, Cobb Police said.
While investigating, Austell Police learned the vehicle's owner had not been seen since the previous morning. The woman was identified as Beauty Couch. Cobb Police said Couch most commonly drove the vehicle.

Austell Police searched the area of Joe Jerkins and Landers, where they found a body matching Couch's description in the wood line, Cobb Police said. Foul play is suspected in Couch's death.
