Word of Faith Breaks Ground on New South Cobb Community Center

About 250 people danced, sang and cheered Wednesday as the Bishop Dale C. Bronner and his wife, Nina,broke ground on its family life center, a vision the church members first had five years ago.

The center is the third phase of a five-phase building plan for the church, located in the Six Flags area at 212 Riverside Parkway in Austell.

The Family Life Center construction and renovation is estimated to cost $30.7 million and to be completed in 15 months, according to the WOF website.

The money comes from the WOF's thousands of members as well as from community members.

Bronner told the crowd that he met with and walked the grounds of the center with people who prophesized, "God is going to do something great here."

He said the new center will not be possible without the help of partners.

"Whenever you do something great, you never do it alone. You always do it with partners."

The center is meant to be a place for community members to have a place to be healthy, meet and relax in a positive atmosphere, Bronner explained.

"What God has done for us, we want it to be a blessing not only to the members of Word of Faith Family Worship Cathedral, but we want it to be a blessing for the community we are placed in and are called to serve," Bronner said.

According to the website, the foundation for the Family Life Center is Nehemiah 4:14, which calls for followers of Jesus Christ to fight for their families.

Members of the church said, "We are willing to fight for the family and build for the future. Won't you join us?"
