First Presbyterian Church of Atlanta is now accepting applications for the 2026 cohort of its Epiphany program, a faith-based social entrepreneurship incubator supporting startups tackling today’s most pressing challenges. Epiphany is an evergreen initiative that equips entrepreneurs developing innovative solutions to social issues with funding, mentorship, and strategic guidance. If you are an emerging founder with a vision to address societal challenges often overlooked by traditional markets, Epiphany offers the resources needed to help your venture grow. Examples of qualifying ventures include businesses that employ formerly incarcerated individuals or adults with developmental challenges, as well as enterprises offering services such as coding training for refugees or mechanical skills development in low-income communities. Since its launch, Epiphany has awarded nearly half a million dollars in grants and supported multiple successful ventures, including Refuge Coffee Co., PadSplit, and Purposeful Gourmet Foods. Modeled in part after the format of Shark Tank, the program provides early-stage entrepreneurs with capital, mentorship, and access to a network focused on impact areas such as hunger, homelessness, housing, refugee resettlement, racial equity, poverty, healthcare, education, and environmental sustainability. MARIETTA, GA -- Cobb County police are investigating after a masked man armed with a pistol held up a car audio shop, assaulted the worker behind the counter and stole his vehicle, Patch has learned. The incident occurred Sunday night at Vicious Sounds Car Audio at 2025 South Cobb Drive in Marietta, Georgia. The robber ordered the employee to the floor and kicked him until he handed over his car keys and wallet, according to Cobb police. It is unknown how much money the thief got away with. The perpetrator drove off in the worker's black 2005 Mercury Mariner. The robber is described as a black male: Height: 5'11-6'01' tall Weight: 200 pounds. Clothing: Black mask, a gray/black pullover "hoodie," gray jogging pants, shiny black sneakers and gray gloves. Anyone with information on this crime is asked to call the Cobb County Police Department's Crimes Against Persons Unit at (770) 499-3945. Tipsters can remain anonymous and possibly receive a reward of up to $2,000 by calling the greater Atlanta Crime Stoppers at 404-577- TIPS (8477). Image via Cobb PD
