Collins Hill Boys Reach Soccer Semifinals

The Eagles are seeking their fourth state title in five years.

The Collins Hill boys soccer team kept alive its chance for a second straight state title with a 6-1 victory Saturday over Newnan in Suwanee.

With the win, the Eagles advance to the semifinals Wednesday. They will take on Harrison, which defeated Centennial 2-1, according to scoreatlanta.com. The title game will be Saturday, May 18, with the site to be determined, according to ghsa.net.

According to the Gwinnett Daily Post, Collins Hill finished with 21 shots, 14 of those on goal, vs. Newnan.

"We're playing very well right now and a lot of guys are stepping up," Coach Michael Burrell told the Post.
