Ripple Effect of Winter Storm Felt in Deep South (With Storm Photos)
Flights are being canceled in Atlanta and elsewhere. UPS warns of shipping delays.

As the Northeastern U.S. gets hit with a devastating winter storm, residents in the South are feeling the ripple effect. Flights are being cancelled at airports in the northeast and extending as far south as Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport.
According to Flightstat Delay Tracker, as at Friday, Feb. 8, the following airports were experiencing the most cancellations.

UPS Brown sent out a press release Friday notifying customers of potential disruptions to deliveries.
"UPS is closely monitoring Winter Storm Nemo as it approaches the Northeast, with blizzard warnings in effect from Northern New Jersey to Coastal Maine. We have contingency plans in place to ensure the safety of our employees and to minimize the storm’s impact on pickups and deliveries," the bulletin read, going on to note that UPS Service Guarantee does not apply when transportation networks are disrupted "due to conditions beyond UPS's control."
