• Shooting in Thomson sends man to the hospital (wrdw.com) — A man was shot and seriously wounded Wednesday afternoon in Thomson, with deputies responding to reports of gunfire on the 400 block of Edgar Circle. The victim, found in a parking lot on Cobbham Road after a related truck accident, was taken to Piedmont McDuffie for treatment. Investigators are still working the case and expect to release more details later.
