• Man Taken Into Custody Near Hays State Prison - WEIS (weisradio.com) — Law enforcement in and around Trion stopped an alleged contraband drop near Hays State Prison after spotting a man entering woods off Underwood Drive with a duffle bag. Using a thermal drone and K-9 units, officers later recovered drugs, phones, and tools, and took a 22-year-old Atlanta man into custody on multiple felony charges. Officials say they’ll continue aggressively targeting prison contraband attempts.
