Three shootings in 8 days at Valdosta restaurant; two people hurt (valdostadailytimes.com) — Recent shootings at the Fin and Feathers restaurant near Valdosta Mall left two men injured and have prompted ongoing investigations by Valdosta police. Officers describe separate parking-lot incidents over eight days, including a gunfire arrest tied to a prior disturbance. Authorities are still piecing together what happened and say more updates will follow.
   

2. Wiregrass renames Student Health Clinic to honor a generous family (valdostatoday.com) — Wiregrass Georgia Technical College’s Valdosta Campus has renamed its Student Health Clinic to honor the Taylor family and is offering free care to enrolled students. The clinic operates Mondays and Wednesdays in Mark Hall, providing everything from basic illness treatment to sexual health services and vaccines. It also doubles as a hands-on training site for several health programs.
   

3. LCS creates Christmas celebration for Life Skills program (valdostatoday.com) — In Valdosta, Lowndes High School students and teachers turned their hallways into a Christmas wonderland for Life Skills students, complete with stockings, treats, and a surprise visit from Santa. The event, which also welcomed Westside Elementary’s Life Skills program, is poised to become a systemwide One Lowndes tradition focused on inclusion and shared joy.
   

4. Valdosta Heritage Foundation starts fundraiser to restore damaged windows at First Antioch Baptist Church (wtxl.com) — A historic Valdosta Black church is raising money to repair its badly vandalized stained-glass windows and add new security, with help from the Valdosta Heritage Foundation. Congregation leaders describe the emotional toll of repeated attacks while urging neighbors to donate. Contributions can be mailed directly to the church’s historic preservation fundraiser in Valdosta.
   

5. Lowndes County Fire Rescue presents donation to the Georgia Firefighters Burn Foundation (valdostadailytimes.com) — Valdosta-area residents should know Lowndes County Fire Rescue has donated $3,350 to the Georgia Firefighters Burn Foundation, money raised at October’s inaugural Mulligans & Halligans Golf Tournament at Quiet Pines. The gift supports burn survivors, prevention education, and fire departments statewide, and organizers say the tournament will return in 2026 with more chances for community involvement.
