- A federal lawsuit claims that Cherokee County Adult Detention Center officers engaged in sexual assault on a regular basis during a woman's incarceration in 2019-2020. The woman stated that most of the alleged crimes against her and other inmates took place while they were engaged in the Workforce program. A jury trial has been requested. (AOL)
- A Teasley Middle School 7th grader placed second in the shot put competition at the 2022 USATF Junior Olympics. Jillian is a member of the Cherokee Junior Warriors Track team and her final throw was 12.61 meters. Congratulations! (CCSD via Facebook)
- Irwin Naturals, a chain of psychedelic mental healthcare providers, has acquired two ketamine clinics in Georgia. One of the clinics is located in Woodstock and currently operates under the name Invictus Clinic, the company that was acquired by Irwin Naturals this month. (Yahoo! Finance)
- Pie Day will be at the Farm. Fresh. Market. Saturday. Bake your best pie and turn it in by 9 a.m. on Saturday. Please fill out the required entry form and turn it in with your written recipe and your pie.
