• Chimney Blaze Sparks At Woodstock Home (patch.com) — Early Tuesday morning, firefighters from Woodstock and Cherokee County responded to a chimney fire at a Farmington Drive home in Woodstock, finding flames spreading into the attic. Crews searched the residence to confirm it was empty while others knocked down the blaze, and officials report no injuries as they continue investigating the cause.
   

• Woodstock police arrest two after elevator motorbike stunt (fox5atlanta.com) — Two men have been arrested after allegedly riding mini motorbikes through the Outlet Shoppes at Atlanta and into downtown Woodstock, where police say they badly damaged the City Center East Parking Deck elevator. Woodstock officials emphasize that the stunt endangered holiday shoppers and pedestrians, and say community tips after video of the incident was released were crucial in quickly identifying the suspects. Repairs are needed before the elevator can safely reopen.
   

• Owners of Atlanta behavioral health center indicted for Medicaid fraud, Georgia AG says (cbsnews.com) — Two Woodstock residents, Kim and Marcel Higgins, have been indicted on multiple counts of Medicaid fraud and conspiracy, accused of improperly billing more than $1.4 million through their Atlanta behavioral health business. State prosecutors say they submitted claims for services not provided or done by unqualified staff and later produced allegedly false records to investigators. The case is part of Georgia’s broader crackdown on Medicaid fraud.
