Armed Robbery Reported At Verizon Wireless Store

The subject tied up an employee, and stole several iPhones, iPads and Google Pixel phones, the Cherokee Sheriff's Office said.

CANTON, GA — The Cherokee Sheriff's Office is investigating an armed robbery reported Friday at a Verizon Wireless store in the Hickory Flat community.

Deputies were dispatched to a call of the robbery around 7:30 p.m. Dec. 21 at the store at 6124 Hickory Flat Highway in Canton.

Sheriff's Office spokesperson Jay Baker said a male subject, armed with a handgun, entered the store, tied the lone employee's hands with zip ties and stole several Apple iPhones, iPads and Google Pixel phones from the safe.

The subject was about 5 feet, 8 inches tall, and was wearing black pants, a gray hoodie, black gloves and a ski mask.
