ICYMI: Cherokee Restaurant Inspections: Food Ticket On Salad

CHEROKEE COUNTY, GA — The Cherokee County Environmental Health Department conducted food service inspections Feb. 8 to 13 at the below establishments. All restaurants with a score below a B has the inspector's notes below.

• Handwash sink not accessible for employee use at all times. the sink at the sushi bar area was blocked with dishes and the sink in the kitchen has dishes. COS by moving. Corrected On-Site. New Violation.
• Observed foods in the cooler left uncovered. COS by covering with lids. Corrected On-Site. New Violation.
• Observed the plate and the inside of the microwave dirty with food. Food is directly placed on the plate and being heated. COS by cleaning and sanitizing the plate and the microwave. New Violation.
• Observed no time sticker for sushi rice. Records were not maintained since the beginning of the month. Corrected On-Site. New Violation.
• Observed foods prepared onsite not date marked. COS by writing the dates. New Violation.
• Observed left over food in the can not transferred to a food grade container. COS by transferring the food. New Violation.
• Must clean the floors, doors, gaskets and inside of the coolers. New Violation.
• Must use the bottom rack in the cooler to store personal items. Make sure to label as employee food and must be stored away from the customers food. New Violation.
