Early Voting Starts Nov. 26 In Cherokee County
The Dec. 4 runoff will feature Republican Brad Raffensperger and Democrat John Barrow vying to become Georgia's next secretary of state.

CANTON, GA — By the time you dive into your favorite Thanksgiving dishes and spend the weekend munching on endless leftovers, it will be time to head back to the polls to vote early in the Dec. 4 runoff election.
Early voting will be held Monday, Nov. 26 through Friday, Nov. 30 in Cherokee County and across Georgia for one statewide race on the ballot. Cherokee voters can cast ballots from 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. at the county Elections & Registration Office at 400 East Main Street in downtown Canton.
Please remember that if you choose to vote on Election Day, you have to cast your ballot at your assigned precinct.

Also on the ballot for select voters is the runoff to elect the next District 3 representative for the Georgia Public Service Commission. Incumbent Republican Chuck Eaton and Democratic challenger Lindy Miller are in the runoff for the seat, which covers Fulton, DeKalb, Clayton and Rockdale counties.
Residents can verify their voter eligibility in this election by visiting www.mvp.sos.ga.gov. Please note that if you do not vote early, you will have to cast your ballot at your designated polling place on Dec. 4. Visit voter.cherokeega.com or call 770-479-0407 for more information.
