Field Set For 2021 Woodstock City Council Races

WOODSTOCK, GA — Three candidates qualified for the Woodstock City Council Municipal Election for the mayor seat and three wards.

The City of Woodstock will hold its next Municipal General Election on Tuesday, Nov. 2, from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. at the Woodstock Library, 7735 Main St. The election will be to fill the positions of Mayor, and council seats for Ward 1, Ward 3, and Ward 5. The terms are for four years beginning on Jan. 1, 2022 following the election.

At the close of the qualifying period on Wednesday, the following candidates qualified to run in the City of Woodstock Election on Tuesday, Nov. 2:
  • Mayor: Michael Caldwell
    • Note: Incumbent Donnie Henriques is not running for reelection.
  • Council, Ward 1: Warren Johnson (Incumbent)
  • Council, Ward 3: Colin Ake (Incumbent)
  • Council, Ward 5: Brian Wolfe (Incumbent)

The voter registration deadline for the Nov. 2 election is Oct. 4. Registration is available online. For more information regarding voting, contact Cherokee County Elections and Voter Registration at 770-479-0407.
