• Lottery players already planning what they'll do if they win $1.7 billion (wsbtv.com) — A Woodstock resident recently scored a $757,841 lottery win, one of several big prizes hitting metro Atlanta just days before a record $1.7 billion Powerball drawing. Local players lined up on Christmas Eve, many already dreaming of sharing potential winnings with charities, veterans, and family while supporting Georgia’s education-funded lottery programs.
   

• Visa: Sales are up 4.2% for first 7 weeks of the holiday shopping period but the pace lags last year (nhregister.com) — Holiday shoppers packed the Kohl’s in Woodstock on Black Friday, part of a nationwide spending pattern Visa says is growing more slowly than last year.
