- There's a lot going on in town this weekend, and it all starts with a stroll through Farm Fresh Market this morning. You can find the market on Market Street, behind Reformation Brewery, every Saturday until Dec. 30. There are many vendors that work together in doubling EBT benefits for SNAP participants, and there is always super fresh produce, delicious raw foods, meats, treats and so much more. The market opens at 8:30 a.m. and closes at noon, just in time to catch some of the Mother's Day happenings downtown. (Downtown Woodstock via Facebook)
- The Cherokee County Fire & Emergency Services (CCFES) Honor Guard sent five of their own to the National Fire Academy in Maryland last week for the National Fallen Firefighters Memorial Weekend. The ceremony this year recognized 144 firefighters that died in the line of duty and saw thousands of attendees. Representing CCFES at the event were Battalion Chief Ricky Collett, Battalion Chief Cheri Collett, Lt. Angela Rice, Fire Apparatus Operator Stuart Fleming and Sgt. Chris Brauda. - Cherokee County Senior Services is holding a paper towel drive until May 31 to help seniors in need right here in Cherokee County. The center is asking for donations of unused paper towels in the original packaging, you can bring it over during normal business hours. The Senior Center is located at 1001 Univeter Road in Canton, and their hours are Monday through Friday, 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. (Cherokee County via Facebook)

- Art on The Green: Perfectly timed for a great Mother's Day outing, the two-day event will feature food, live music and shopping with treasures on display like paintings, photography, jewelry and more. Enjoy the day and support your local artists, The Green is located at 111 Elm St. (10 a.m. - 6 p.m.)
- Yoga at the Library: For ages 17 and up, perfect for beginners. Certified yoga instructor Jigna Patel will lead the yoga session. Please bring your own mat to the free class at the Woodstock Library, 7735 Main St. in Woodstock. (11 a.m. - noon)
- Maker Bar: Drop by anytime during the event to create a free project in 30 minutes or less. The Pop Up Poppy will be at the event with fresh cut flowers for purchase. Made Mercantile is located at 8636 Main St. (11 a.m. - 2 p.m.)
- LEGO Lab: for all ages and skill levels, create and build with LEGOs. Children must be accompanied by an adult for the fun today at the Rose Creek Library, 4476 Towne Lake Parkway. (3 - 4 p.m.)
- Woodstock Summer Concert Series - Craig Morgan & Leah Belle Faser: The free concert will be held at the Northside Hospital-Cherokee Amphitheater, please see the link for parking and shuttle information. (7:30 p.m.)
- Board Game Night: A great event for groups, have a fun evening playing board games at The Blue Ghost Arcade, 164 Towne Lake Parkway. (8 p.m.)

- Reminder: The blood drive in memory of Nathan Moon is today at River Ridge High School. You must be at least 17 and weigh at least 110 pounds to donate. The school's address is 400 Arnold Mill Road, and the drive will be going on from 8 a.m.-2 p.m. You can make an appointment online here, by phone at 800-962-0628 or by texting BAGIVE to 999777. Walk-ins will be accepted as well, and donors will receive a T-shirt and enjoy some Chick-fil-A. (All On Georgia)

- Reformation Brewery is holding Mother's Day events all weekend, and the mom in your life will love you more if you bring her. That's not true, she loves you no matter what, but she would love to stop by for Beers and Blooms with Hawk Hill Flowers on Saturday from 1-5 p.m. and the Pretty Little Linx Permanent Jewelry pop-up shop on Sunday from 1-4 p.m. Maker's Mash is also on the calendar for Sunday, where you can purchase a gift for mom created by local artists and makers from 11 a.m. - 6 p.m. (Reformation Brewery)

- Cherokee Recreation & Parks is holding a Public Input Meeting on Thursday, May 18, from 6:30-8:30 p.m. to collect feedback for the upcoming Hickory Flat area park.
