Reduced Roads Fee Goes into Effect Aug. 1

Cherokee County Commissioners voted to cut impact fees on July 6.

reduced impact fee for roads is about to go into effect in Cherokee County.

On July 6 the Cherokee County Board of Commissioners adopted a resolution to reduce the roads fee by 90 percent, which will go into effect Aug. 1.

According to the county website, permits affected by the new fee schedule are:

  • New residential permits
  • Commercial permits (new buildings, shell finishes and new industrialized buildings)
  • New manufactured home permits
