Taste & Sound of Woodstock Set For April 23

Favorite Woodstock area restaurants will serve delicious tastes of their dishes and compete in a variety of categories.

From Main Street Woodstock: Main Street Woodstock is pleased to announce the return of a popular food and music festival to Downtown Woodstock. Taste & Sound of Woodstock will take place Sunday, April 23rd from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m.

Favorite Woodstock area restaurants will serve delicious tastes of their dishes and compete in a variety of categories. Participants include Freight Kitchen & Tap, Gameday Fresh Grill/Canyons Burger Company, Ipp’s Pastaria, Izzy’s Kouzina, Kani House, Keegan’s Irish Pub, Leaning Ladder, Magnolia Thomas, Marlow’s Tavern, Pho 92, Pie Bar, Reel Seafood, Taqueria Tsunami, and Yumsa.

The Truck & Tap Food Truck Park brings the best of the Atlanta food truck scene to TSOW ‘17. Trucks confirmed so far are Dominic’s New York Pizza, Dominic's On the Bayou Handcrafted Snoballs, Perhaps A Wrap, and Reformation Brewery’s Freedom 95 Airstream serving beer and wine. Participants may bring blankets and chairs to enjoy the music groups taking the amphitheater stage throughout the day. Acts include Jonathan Peyton, Kevin Dunbar, the Woodstock High School Jazz Band, and Scott Pingley. Families will enjoy The Chrisally Kids Zone featuring inflatables, slides, and an obstacle course.

Taste & Sound of Woodstock is presented by Main Street Woodstock, Inc. and sponsored by Reformation Brewery, Superior Healthcare, Truck & Tap, and Woodstock Family Life. “We are thrilled to be expanding Taste & Sound of Woodstock, now in its seventh year,” said Mitzi Saxon, downtown program manager for the City. “Moving the event from Chattahoochee Tech’s Woodstock campus to the new Northside Hospital-Cherokee Amphitheater allows us to take this popular event to an entirely new level.”

As the kick-off for the first city-wide Woodstock Restaurant Week, TSOW ’17 is a great opportunity to sample dishes from participating restaurants and plan the can’t-miss dining experiences around town April 23-29!

The event continues to benefit the Woodstock High School Band Program. Ticket packages start at $5 and may be purchased the day of the festival. Admission is free.
