Here are the top four stories today in Woodstock-Towne Lake:
- Georgia Cities Week continues in Woodstock with the city's Touch-A-Truck event today. The event is taking place on East Main Street from 5 - 6 p.m. There will be vehicles from the Woodstock Fire Department, Woodstock Police Department, Woodstock Public Works and Woodstock Parks and Recreation for the kids to check out. The next event in the week-long celebration is the Downtown WDSTK Walking Tour, "Weird Woodstock," Thursday. You'll learn about the history and growth of the area and see some of our amazing public art during the guided walking tour. You can purchase tickets in person at the Visitors Center on Main Street or online on the WDSTK Brand Store. (Woodstock GA News)
- The Cherokee Sheriff's Office is asking for help in locating two missing juveniles. Violet Heath, 15, was last seen in the Victoria area around 4 p.m. on Friday. She was wearing a black and white plaid shirt and ripped blue jeans and is described as a white female with brown hair. Brandon Gonzalez, 16, was last seen near Pioneer Drive and West Wiley Bridge Road on April 14. He may be with another juvenile in the area of Old Farm Court, Woodstock or Cobb County. He is described as a 5-foot-five, 130-pound Hispanic male with long, tightly-curled hair and brown eyes. - Head over to your local Sequoyah Regional Library System (SRLS) library branch to get up to $15 of your library fines forgiven in celebration of National Library Week. All SRLS libraries are participating in the program through this Sunday. The fines can be from the past or present, though some fees may not be eligible for forgiveness. - Canton was home to a whole pack of German Shepherds last weekend as they competed in a series of dog shows. Two shows were held each day, Friday through Sunday, thanks to the partnership of the AKC and the German Shepherd Dog Clubs of Atlanta and Northeast Georgia. There were over 50 participants in the weekend shows, including puppies and seniors alike, and they were all adorable! (Subscription: Cherokee Tribune & Ledger-News)

- All About Your Water - Consumer Confidence Report and You: learn about Consumer Confidence Reports (CCR), where to find them, what to look for and what the annual CCR says about our drinking water quality and water system. - Knife & Scissor Sharpening Service: Tony from Y-Not Sharp will be available to sharpen your knives and shears at Leaning Ladder, 105 E. Main Street. No appointment necessary, and you can pay on site. (2 - 6 p.m.)
- Read with Baron the Reading Dog: for children of all ages, though children must be accompanied by an adult. Sign up here for a 15-minute spot for your child to read to Baron the Reading Dog at the R.T. Jones Memorial Library, 116 Brown Industrial Parkway in Canton. (4 - 5 p.m.)
- Free Caregiver Support Group: presented by Cherokee County Senior Services, featuring guests from the Atlanta Regional Commission with advice on resources like free classes and workshops. There is also time for an open discussion between caregivers and staff from Senior Services. The meeting is open to all seniors and anyone that cares for a senior citizen and will be held at Woodstock Recreation and Parks, located at 7545 Main Street, Building 200. - Be sure to catch the first in the Unwind Wednesdays series this week at Cherokee Veterans Park in Canton. The evening's family-friendly event is titled "Yoga in the Park," and Michel Delifer from Ember Hot Yoga in Downtown Woodstock will lead the the yoga session. The event will run from 5:30 - 8 p.m. and will include food trucks, vendors, music and much more. (Cherokee Recreation & Parks)
- A new men's clothing store is opening up downtown. Guilt By Association is located at 460 Chambers Street, and they're celebrating their grand opening on Friday with a ribbon cutting and refreshments from 4 - 5 p.m. (IN WDSTK)
- Parent's Night Out at the Cherokee Aquatic Center is going on this Friday. Drop off the kids from 5:15 - 10 p.m., and while you are out and about, the kids will be enjoying a swim, dinner, crafts, games and a movie. - This Friday should be a great evening to relax and take in the live jazz playing from the back porch of the Reeves House. Tables and chairs are set up, and there is a tent in case of rain. While you're there, be sure to check out the current exhibit in the gallery, "Through the Looking Glass: Art + Science," before it closes. The gallery and music are free, but the outdoor bar will have charcuterie boards, wine and beer available for purchase and there are coffee, drinks and snacks inside. (Woodstock Arts)
- Reminder: It's time to apply for small business funding via the Cherokee Small Business Grant. The application window for this round opens on April 17 at 8 a.m. and closes April 30 at noon, and eligible businesses can apply for up to $30,000 in grant funds. You can find the application for the grant here. The program is in place to help small businesses in the county that have suffered a negative economic impact from the pandemic, have no more than 500 employees, are independently owned and operated and are not dominant in their field. - Tuesday and Thursday: +55 Trail Walkers - for those 55 and up that can walk a minimum of one mile on a paved trail. Head out to socialize and get some exercise every Tuesday and Thursday, the walking will alternate between the Noonday Creek, Rubes Creek, Towne Lake Pass and Trestle Rock trails. (9 - 10 a.m.)
- Wednesday: Discovering Pickleball Practice & Play - if you were a Discovering Pickleball participant in April, this is a chance for you to play with instructor Deb von Minden to help with questions about play, technique and rules at the Dupree Park Pickleball Courts, 513 Neese Road. - Saturday: Collage Day Class Showcase - a showcase for friends and family, performed by students from the Acting Discoveries, Broadway Bootcamp, Youth Improv, Teen Improv and Acting for Stage classes at Woodstock Arts. The showcase will be held at the Woodstock Arts Theatre. (11 a.m. and 2:30 p.m.)
- Saturday: Huu Bac Quintet - the artist and his backing team of Montreal jazz musicians are playing as part of the Lantern Series on the Event Green downtown. Their sound is described as "Vietnamese jazz," you can check out their music here. (7:30 p.m.)
- Sunday: Paint on the Patio - for all skill levels, join a guided painting session at the Reeves House Education Studio. All supplies will be provided, and there's an option for bottomless mimosas. The Reeves House is located at 734 Reeves Street. (2 - 4:30 p.m.)

- Tuesday: Storytime at the Gallery - head to the Reeves House Visual Arts Center for the special storytime featuring stories, art lessons and crafts. Children must be accompanied by an adult, you can register here. The Visual Arts Center is located at 734 Reeves Street. (1 - 2:30 p.m.)

- Wednesday: Tween Book Club - for ages 10 and up or those at a 5th grade reading level. - Sunday: PaddleFit - for all skill levels, but you must have some prior SUP experience and know how to swim. The class offers interval training on a paddleboard and will meet at Cherokee Mills Park on Bells Ferry Road. (9 a.m.)
- Sunday: SUP Yoga - for all skill levels, the class hosted by Hanalei SUO Yoga starts with a quick lesson on paddle boarding basics, followed by a yoga class on the board. The board rental is included in the ticket price, the yoga session will take place in Cherokee Mills Park on Bells Ferry Road. (10:30 a.m.)
