Woodstock Lions Club Annual Christmas Party
The Woodstock Lions Club held their annual Christmas party last night at the William G. Long Senior Center.
The Woodstock Lions Club held their annual Christmas party last night at the William G. Long Senior Center. We had a good amount of Club Members attend but we missed having several members.
The Club presented a $500 check to Stephanie Villasenor from the Cherokee Family Violence Center. (Several Lions also brought physical donations). Stephanie gave a presentation about all the great work CFVC is doing in Cherokee County to help rescue, protect, and build back the lives of victims of domestic violence.
District Governor Wes Gifford was in attendance to conduct six pieces of Lions’ business.

Last, DG Wes inducted four new members of the Woodstock Lions Club; Carlton & Michell Houston, and Jamal & Samirah Hooks. Welcome new members!
Megan Dean presented her new guide dog named “Woodstock” to the Club. He is very handsome.
A very special Shout-Out Thank-You to Cheryl Hunton for securing the facility, organizing the food donations, setting up the facility, keeping us on schedule, and cleaning up afterwards. She is amazing! (I believe Stan & Jacque help set-up too. Everyone pitched in to help clean up)
We were able to take all the left-over food and drinks next door to the Woodstock Fire Station. The Firefighters were happy to see the food.
