Woodstock Lions Club Vision Screening-Charlie Ferguson Health Fair

The Woodstock Lions Club had a very successful turn-out for vision screening at the Charlie Ferguson Community Health Fair on Saturday.

The Woodstock Lions Club had a very successful turn-out for vision screening at the Charlie Ferguson Community Health Fair on Saturday, July 13th. The Vision Screening Committee chairperson is Stan Stanly. Although this was just a 4 hour event, Stan said we screened 80 participants and referred 35. For the participants who were uninsured or underinsured, Stan said we referred them to America’s Best Contacts and Eyeglasses in Woodstock for vision care assistance. We are very appreciative of their partnership with the Woodstock Lions Club for providing vision care help to those in need. As a special note, Stan said he would like to say a huge THANK YOU to Maria Ulloa for her assistance with those who spoke only Spanish. Maria’s help with guiding these individuals through their screenings was invaluable and would have been difficult to do it without her. Stan also thanked Jacque Stanly for handling all of the administrative paperwork, which was helpful in keeping the vision screening process organized.
