Woodstock Mall Parking Lot Full On Black Friday, Prompting Closures

Woodstock Police said the entrances to the Outlet Shoppes of Atlanta parking lot are closed on Black Friday.

WOODSTOCK — The parking lot at the Outlet Shoppes of Atlanta was full around 11:30 a.m. Friday, prompting the closure of all entrances on Black Friday, Woodstock Police said.

Police said any traffic attempting to enter the property of the Ridgewalk Parkway mall will be directed to an overflow lot. Police did not say when the entrances will reopen.

Drivers should expect heavy delays in the area of Ridgewalk and Interstate 575, police said.

Channel 2 Action News reported Black Friday shopping was taking place across metro Atlanta, with at least 400 customers standing in line ahead of doors opening at an Acworth store.

The Associated Press reported Black Friday comes during a time when customer spending habits have been slowing due to inflation and other factors.
