Woodstock 7th Grader 'Gets Joy Out Of Being Helpful' To Others
Patch and T-Mobile are partnering to celebrate local 'Star Students' who make life better with contributions big and small.

Woodstock, Georgia — Star Students are found in classrooms, on concert and theater stages and at debate lecterns, and out in the community doing good things to make life better for all of us.
Here at Patch, we've launched an initiative to help recognize Star Students, and we’re working to tell the stories of these outstanding kids to their neighbors.
This submission comes from Cindy Thornton who nominated Zoa of Woodstock, Georgia.

granddaughter
Why do you believe the star local student should be recognized?
Zoa excels in school academics, but more importantly she is always willing to assist someone who needs help with physical chores like carrying groceries, lifting heavy boxes, being safe when walking down stairs & outside. She is active in church youth group & has helped her mom redesign the youth group wing of the church. Zoa has a desire to give to others, rather than wanting for self. Her school teachers comments are “always a pleasure to have in class,” “ is a great helper,” “kind & offers to assist others”.
What's one thing you want everyone to know about the star local student?
Zoa gets joy out of being helpful to those who need.
Congratulations on your achievements, and all of our best wishes to you in the future, Zoa!
