The Realtor will see you now

Imagine you had a realtor who was as attentive and caring to clients as, say, a great physician’s assistant was to patients in the operating room. The analogy might seem like a stretch, until you meet Michale Pena.

For much of her career, Michale has worked as a Surgical First Assistant to one of our area’s top orthopedic surgeons. It’s a demanding, high-stress job that requires the highest level of attentiveness, precision and service. Along the way, Michale, who has spent her whole life in the Woodstock area, started helping her medical colleagues solve another problem: figuring out where to live in our area’s tight housing market.

These days, Michale is a rising star at RB Realty, offering the same level of attention to detail, responsiveness and service she learned in the operating room to buyers and sellers in our area. Don’t take our word for it. Here’s what a recent client says:

“Michale was fantastic from start to finish. She took all the stress off of us. She is a true professional, and we highly recommend her to anyone who is interested in buying or selling a home.”

Here are the top stories today in Woodstock-Towne Lake:

  1. The Woodstock PD is asking for help in locating a woman missing since Wednesday. Beverly Phillips, 42, was last seen on foot around Laurelwood Drive. Phillips is a Black female, 5 feet 6 inches tall and 130 pounds with black hair and brown eyes. If you have seen the missing woman or know of her location, please contact the department via 911. (Woodstock PD via Facebook)
  2. A Georgia Department of Natural Resources Air Quality Alert has been posted by Woodstock Fire & Rescue. Our area is rated a Code Orange for today, with prolonged exposure considered unhealthy for sensitive groups. The air quality is likely to be unhealthy for children, those sensitive to ozone and those with heart or lung disease. Be sure to limit your outdoor activities if you fall into one of the sensitive groups. You can check the air quality on the official U.S. Air Quality Index website here. (Woodstock Fire & Rescue via Facebook)
  3. The actual Rick Springfield concert starts tomorrow at 7:30 p.m., but as we know, the pregame starts today at 6 a.m. with chair placement. Once you get to the Amphitheater downtown today, you can place your folding chairs, beach chairs or bag chairs to save your spot, but no tables, blankets, tarps or things that anchor into or cover the ground. Be sure to check out the website for details on shuttles, parking and chair placement. The next concert in the free Woodstock Summer Concert Series is on July 8 with the Bruno Mars tribute band Uptown Funk and Hughes Taylor. Now, up and at 'em, neighbors, go stake your claim. (Woodstock Summer Concert Series)
  4. A new, temporary exhibit has opened at History Cherokee. The "Business is Boomin': Historic Business Communities" exhibit takes a look at some of the many businesses in Cherokee County in the mid to late 20th century and how they helped create the foundation of today's communities. You'll see photos, objects and stories from local businesses that served as meeting places, shops, eating spots and gathering grounds, forming the economy and culture we find in our county. The exhibit will be open through August. (History Cherokee)
